Haines Ely, MD
Haines Ely M.D. is a clinical professor of dermatology at U.C. Davis and spends his days with UC Davis residents at Mather Field VA Hospital in Sacramento. He also does telederm for all of Northern California at the VA. It is his ideal retirement from private practice. He discovered the bowel bypass syndrome in 1975 and has written much on this topic. This began a lifelong study of how the bowel effects the skin. He has successfully treated hundreds of psoriatics with bile acids and citrus bioflavinoids, plus dietary modifications. He spends his leisure time talking to dermatologists all over the world on rxderm-l, a list he owns. He also plays lawn darts with the neighborhood children.
