Description

IgG (immunoglobulin G) food testing has increased in popularity over the past few years as patients and practitioners search for hidden food problems that may be at the root cause of dermatological problems. This article clarifies the much-confused terminology of “food allergy” vs. “food sensitivity” vs. “food intolerance.” It reviews the differences in IgG and IgE laboratory testing methodologies as well as the current scientific evidence for each type, and discusses what an elimination diet is and how naturopathic doctors use them to address skin dysfunction.
