11. Women N' Psoriasis

Female patient with psoriasis have unique considerations when it comes to treatment considerations given the stage of reproductive potential. Learn about what happens with psoriasis when female patients become pregnant, are breastfeeding and enter menopause.

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, participants will able to:

  • Distinguish that women of childbearing age with autoimmune diseases represents a unique subpopulation
  • Evaluate a woman's reproductive journey when making disease management decisions
  • Examine how to manage sexually active women with autoimmune diseases who are not ready to start a family
  • Assess how to optimize care in women with autoimmune diseases who are not ready to start a family
