Raja Sivamani, MD MS AP

Dr. Raja Sivamani is a board-certified dermatologist and practices as an integrative dermatologist at Pacific Skin Institute. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology at the University of California, Davis and Director of Clinical Research and the Clinical Trials Unit. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the California State University, Sacramento and an Associate Professor of Dermatology at California Northstate University, College of Medicine. He engages in clinical practice as well as both clinical and translational research that integrates bioengineering, nutrition, cosmetics, and skin biology. With training in both Allopathic and Ayurvedic medicine, he takes an integrative approach to his patients and in his research. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed research manuscripts, 10 textbook chapters, and a textbook entitled Cosmeceuticals and Active Cosmetics, 3rd Edition with a passion for expanding the evidence and boundaries of integrative medicine for skin care.

Neal Bhatia, MD

Dr. Neal Bhatia is a board-certified dermatologist in San Diego, California. He serves as Director of Clinical Dermatology at Therapeutics Clinical Research. He is as chief medical editor for Practical Dermatology. He has a background in immunology and has interests in mechanisms of therapy, skin cancer, and medical dermatology. Aside from teaching at medical conferences, he sits on several editorial boards and is an active teacher for dermatologists, industry, and patients.

Jason Hawkes, MD MS FAAD

Dr. Jason Hawkes is a board-certified dermatologist and Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of California Davis. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. During medical school, he was selected for a one-year research fellowship year at the National Institutes of Health as part of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholars Program. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Washington/Boise VA Medical Center. He returned to the University of Utah School of Medicine for his dermatology residency training and graduated from the Program’s 2+2 Translational Research Track. He then completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Investigation at the Rockefeller University in New York City, where he was also the Chief Clinical Scholar and member of the Laboratory for Investigative Dermatology. Dr. Hawkes was also a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he saw patients and taught residents, fellows, and physician assistants. Dr. Hawkes has served as the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator of multiple pharmaceutical-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trial protocols. He is also currently serving on the Medical Board of the National Psoriasis Foundation and is the recipient of multiple teaching awards. He is the author of more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and 6 book chapters. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and is a member of multiple national and international organizations, including the National Psoriasis Foundation, Dermatology Foundation, and Society of Investigative Dermatology. His research has previously been funded by the Dermatology Foundation, Melanoma Research Foundation, National Psoriasis Foundation, and National Institutes of Health. Dr. Hawkes’ principal clinical and research interests are the treatment of complex inflammatory diseases, such as psoriasis and eczema, using novel, targeted systemic or biologic therapies.

Vivian Shi, MD

Dr. Vivian Shi is a board-certified dermatologist and an Assistant Professor of Medicine in Dermatology at the University of Arizona where she directs the Eczema and Skin Barrier Specialty Clinic. She has extensive clinical and research experience in eczema and repair of the skin’s natural protective barrier. She also specializes in medical and surgical treatments for patients with hidradenitits suppurativa. Vivian has published and presented her research in international journals and conferences. She works in outreach for remote and underserved regions of the United States, Vietnam, China, Nepal, and India. She is fluent in Chinese, both in Mandarin and Cantonese. Her approach to health practice is to provide care with compassion and disseminate knowledge through education.

Hadar Lev-Tov, MD MAS

Dr. Hadar Lev-Tov is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive research experience. Throughout his training and in daily practice, he has always believed that the key to achieving health for his patients is grounded in his ability to truly connect to their experiences and perceptions of health and well-being. Maimonides, one of the greatest philosophers of all time realized that human knowledge, often represented as "science," is limited. As a physician, he feels he would be a fool to believe all is known. Maimonides said, "The physician should not treat the disease but the patient who is suffering from it." LearnSkin is his journey to a better understanding of his patients.

Lawrence Eichenfield, MD

Dr. Lawrence Eichenfield is chief of pediatric and adolescent dermatology at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, as well as vice chair of the Department of Dermatology and a professor of dermatology and pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine. <p>Dr. Eichenfield earned his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, was a pediatric resident and chief resident at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and completed dermatology training at the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in pediatrics, dermatology and pediatric dermatology.</p>

Peter Lio, MD

Dr. Peter Lio is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, completed his internship in Pediatrics at Boston Children's Hospital, and his Dermatology training at Harvard where he served as Chief Resident in Dermatology. Dr. Lio is the founding director of the Chicago Integrative Eczema Center and has spoken nationally and internationally about atopic dermatitis, as well as alternative medicine.

George Han, MD PhD

George Han, MD, PhD, currently serves as the Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. He is also the Director of Teledermatology for the Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. <p>Following graduation from the University of Southern California where Dr. Han received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering cum laude, he entered the MD, PhD Medical Scientist Training Program in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed a preliminary year in Internal Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine prior to entering the Dermatology residency program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine&rsquo;s Montefiore Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year.</p> <p>Dr. Han is Board Certified in Dermatology and is licensed to practice medicine in New York. Dr. Han is the recipient of numerous awards including a Science and Travel Award for Outstanding Research to attend the 3rd International Meeting on the Role of Nitrite in Physiology, Pathophysiology, and Therapeutics in Sweden, DermMentors Resident of Distinction Award, First Prize in the Resident&rsquo; Competition, and a co-winner of the Everett C. Fox Award in the Residents and Fellows Symposium at the Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also the recipient of a Women's Dermatologic Society grant for his research. The Journal of Drugs in Dermatology Leaders of Distinction program recognized Dr. Han with a national Resident of the Year Award during his training. He has received numerous Excellence in Teaching and Teacher of the Year Awards at Mount Sinai and is actively involved in guiding the residency program as part of the Program Evaluation and Residency Review Committees. Dr. Han has lectured at numerous national conferences and has directed or co-directed forums at the Summer Annual Meeting of the AAD and the Annual Meeting of the AAD.</p> <p>To date, Dr. Han has two patents and over 20 publications in well-respected journals such as the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, the British Journal of Dermatology, the Journal of Infectious Diseases, and the American Journal of Pathology. He has overseen numerous clinical trials and currently serves as the principal investigator on five clinical trials in the areas of psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and actinic keratosis.</p>

Jessica Sprague, MD

Jessica Sprague, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist who cares for people with both general and complex skin conditions. Her interests include treating acne, eczema (atopic dermatitis), psoriasis, pemphigoid, pemphigus, lichen planus, lichen sclerosis, hidradenitis suppurativa and other inflammatory and neoplastic skin disorders. <p>Dr. Sprague also specializes in treating skin diseases in children, and practices at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego. As an assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology, Dr. Sprague trains medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Rady Children&rsquo;s Hospital San Diego. Her dermatology residency was at UCLA&rsquo;s David Geffen School of Medicine, where she also earned her medical degree. She also holds a master&rsquo;s degree in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown University. She is board certified in dermatology.</p> <p>Dr. Sprague is a member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology. In her free time, Dr. Sprague enjoys cooking, travel, reading and hiking with her golden retriever. She speaks Spanish in addition to English.</p>
