Marc Bertaud, Founder, President and Managing Partner for Derma Primis.

Marc has a knack for “connecting the dots,” and has successfully led growth, innovation and business revitalization efforts in complex markets and rapidly changing environments. He has expertise in user-led commercialization of advanced technologies & highly-engineered systems, notably for diversified health care (medical & surgical devices, pharma, diagnostics, payor). He has designed and implemented global initiatives to frame the behavioral economics at play, identify next-generation system requirements, verify functionality & feasibility, and test for usability and safety.

Marc also understands the practical considerations of business-building, having served in a leadership role in building a start-up to IPO, benchmark profitability and $680 million in revenue within 3 years. He has successfully managed a $100 million P&L, R&D teams, service organizations, and sales operations. He is a two-time recipient of Abbott Laboratories’ annual Chairman’s Award for leadership and exceptional individual contributions.

Marc holds a BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA in Marketing, Finance, and Analytic Accounting from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. He is a certified master facilitator & executive coach, has served as a guest lecturer at Harvard, The Richard Ivey Business School, The University of Chicago and The Institute of Design. He is a proud husband and father, committed foodie & traveler, and fan of the untamed outdoors.
