Douglas Preston’s career spans 40+years in professional esthetics. His business and practice management articles appear in many of the top trade journals and magazines. He is a frequent presenter at major spa and esthetics industry events, featured in podcasts, and has trained esthetics practitioners internationally. His recently published book, An Esthetician’s Guide to Growing A Successful Skincare Career, is a top-seller among ambitious working skincare professionals. Preston was selected as an official judge for The Skin Games in 2016, and again for 2017. In 2022 Preston was inducted into Dermascope magazine’s acclaimed “Academy of Legends”, a coveted distinction for individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the growth and excellence of the esthetics industry.

Preston is the creator of the Preston Comedone ExtractorTM, a special precision tool for the removal of follicular blockages in the skin, widely used by Estheticians throughout the world.
