Dr Stephen (Wing Yiu) Lai has over 25 years experience as a clinician with special interest in dermatology and skin cancer. He graduated from University of Hong Kong in 1996 and completed his specialist training in Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in 2006. He worked as a dermatology clinician in Hong Kong for 12 years before moving to Melbourne. Before moving to Australia in 2009, he had short period of training in Singapore National Skin Centre and years of working experience in Dermatology clinic in Hong Kong. With his vast practical experience in dermatology clinic, he is able to solve different dermatology problems at specialist level. He has strong passion in managing common or complicated dermatological problems from both mainstream and integrative holistic approach, including comprehensive gut health assessment, hormonal evaluation, chronic infection/ inflammation and toxin assessment if indicated.In Australia, he obtained his status as an accredited skin cancer doctor from Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA) in 2014. He was later awarded multiple Fellowship from Skin Cancer Institute, Australian Institute of Dermatology, Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine and Board Certification from Amercian Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. Currently, he is a popular clinician with special interest in dermatology and skin cancer management in Melbourne West. He has a very high level of dermatology knowledge and dermoscopy skill and can do a lot of procedures for skin cancer management, including flap and graft surgery. He is also practicing evidence-based aesthetic practice to manage different cosmetic dermatology conditions (eg. Laser removal of benign skin lesions, PRP injection for acne scarring/hair loss problem/skin rejuvenation, Sclerotherapy, Keloid scar management, Botox injection for Hyperhidrosis, Melasma management, Smooth PDO threads for acne scarring and skin rejuvenation, Injectable for cosmetic reason and so on).
