My name is Casey Lim and I am a MD candidate at Eastern Virginia Medical School. I was born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to the United States when I was ten years old. Since then, I've had numerous opportunities as well as the privilege to work with some of the most vulnerable populations in the world, including an African community ridden with HIV, sick children, and homeless people in my community who did not have access to quality health care. These experiences made me realize my passion for community outreach and helped form the core values driving my pursuit to become a physician.

Outside of school, I value spending time with my family and friends, and taking my golden-doodle, Hercules, on long walks. Some of my favorite pastimes include playing my violin and listening to all things Hans Zimmer. A fun fact about me is that I have been playing the violin for 20 years and I once had the most incredible opportunity to have masterclass with Midori, a world-renowned violinist!
