Acne and rosacea are widely prevalent in the general population and two of the most common skin conditions seen in clinic. This program will review the latest research and emerging therapies in acne and rosacea, including topics that will cover pharmaceuticals, cosmeceuticals, devices, nutrition, probiotics, and supplements. Strategies to reduce the use of oral antibiotics will also be discussed.

This lecture will outline the current evidence for the use of diet, herbs, vitamins, minerals, and probiotics for the treatment of acne and rosacea. While there is an emphasis on clinical studies in this article, some in vitro studies are mentioned to give background information and mechanistic explanations on the supplements discussed.
