Description

Prurigo nodularis (PN) is a chronic itchy skin condition that significantly impairs quality of life. This lecture will review the current psychological and physical burden of uncontrolled itch and PN and review the evidence for the use of topical and systemic therapies.

Learning objectives
 
  1. Diagram the pathophysiology of itch in relation to prurigo nodularis
  2. Review the evidence for the use of topical pharmacological and botanically based approaches to reduce itch
  3. Discuss the use of phototherapy and systemic medications for treatment of PN
