After completing this activity, participants will be able to:

- Recognize where the hair follicle stem cells reside within the follicle
- Describe the phases of the hair growth structure
Non-Scarring Hair Loss
This course will cover the basic pathophysiology and treatment options – both allopathic and integrative – of nonscarring hair loss
After completing this activity, participants will be able to:
- List common types of non-scaring hair loss
- Identify botanical 5-alpha reductase inhibitors
- Recognize two adaptogens that may be helpful in minimizing the physiologic stress response
Scarring Hair Loss
This course will cover the basic pathophysiology and treatment options – both allopathic and integrative – for scarring hair loss
After completing this activity, participants will be able to:
- List causes of scarring hair loss
- Identify supplements that help protect the gut
- Explain the role hair style practices have in hair loss
