This 21 part series is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the microbiome, gut health, the gut-skin axis, and how the microbiome connects with the rest of the body in health and disease.

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of clinicians and non-clinicians involved in the care of patients with psoriasis.

Educational Objectives

  1. Define the microbiome
  2. Describe the gut and the skin microbiome
  3. Discuss the biochemical basis for the gut-skin axis
  4. Discuss the role of fermented foods on both the gut and skin microbiome
