Hemali Shah is a rising PGY-3 Dermatology resident at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Hemali has a strong interest in exploring the connections between dermatologic conditions and the gut microbiome, as well as learning about alternative treatments to better serve her patients who may seek nontraditional care. 

As a LearnSkin Resident Ambassador, she is excited to deepen her knowledge of evidence-based integrative dermatology and contribute to advancing awareness of the field. Outside of residency, Hemali enjoys reading fiction novels, group fitness classes, and spending time with her family and friends.
