Dr. Vivien Chen is currently completing her dermatology residency at Tulane University. Originally from the DMV area, Dr. Chen graduated from University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she also completed a year-long research fellowship including work related to the roles of commensal versus pathogenic bacteria in the skin, and the psychosocial impact of dermatologic disease in patients. Through her clinical and research endeavors, she has been particularly interested in the impact of the microbiome and lifestyle on inflammatory skin conditions. 

She is excited to be part of the inaugural Integrative Dermatology Resident Ambassador Program. With the goal of adopting an integrative, tailored approach to dermatologic care, Dr. Chen is interested in bridging the gap between conventional medicine and complementary/alternative approaches to skin health and overall well-being.
