The Use of Systemic Medications in Psoriasis
Many systemic therapies are now available for use in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and include the use of biologics and oral medications. This includes specific targeting of TNF and the IL-17/IL-23 pathways as well as the emergence of JAK and TYK2 inhibitors. The role of phototherapy will be discussed.
