Course: Therapeutic Alignment – All Practitioners Come Together
Therapeutic Alignment – All Practitioners Come Together
Peter Lio, MD

Patient care does not happen in a vacuum! Multiple practitioners are often involved in a patient's care for different issues or sometimes even the same one. Therapeutic alignment is critical for success, as even subtle disagreements between trusted healthcare practitioners can cause tremendous issues for all stakeholders. We explore these concepts and illustrate them with several eczema patient cases.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the critical role therapeutic alignment has in patient adherence and success, particularly for atopic dermatitis
  2. Define the far-reaching parameters of the roles of various stakeholders in patient care
  3. Summarize how even subtle disagreements can be perceived in a negative light and result in obstacles
