Welcome to module 10 where we'll review Dermatology Pharmacology!
This course will review common pharmacology used in the management of dermatological disorders. This course will discuss the use of steroids and topical anti-inflammatory agents, classes, indications and contraindications and side effects.
This course will review and classify JAK TYK2 inhibitors and their different methods of administration. The risks, benefits and side effects seen with JAK TYK2 inhibitors will be discussed.
This course will review commonly used herbs and supplements along with their safety. Evidence on the use of herbs and supplements, dosing, indications and contraindications of their use will be discussed.
This course reviews the rationale behind integrative approaches and explores the role of compounding medications for topical use. The principle of utilizing a synergistic approach will be discussed with examples of compounded medications in various dermatological conditions.
This course reviews phototherapy and photodynamic therapeutic options in treating skin disorders such as psoriasis, prurigo nodularis, atopic dermatitis, actinic disorders, premalignant skin lesions, acne, rosacea and solar elastosis.
This module will review dermatology pharmacology.
