Shaveonté Graham was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles California. She attended the University of Southern California, where she received a bachelor of arts in Spanish. After undergrad, she took a 7-year gap year and worked as a substitute teacher, while attending the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science Postbaccalaureate program. She attended medical school at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, where she graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her transitional year at Henry Ford in Detroit, Michigan. Currently, she is a dermatology resident at Wayne State University. She is passionate about skin of color and increasing access to dermatological care in underserved populations.
