A 32-yr-old female complains of pigmentary changes on her face around her mouth. She notes that the depigmented areas have slowly expanded but are otherwise asymptomatic. She has no significant past medical history and takes no medications. There is no history of new skincare products, trauma, or chemical exposure. On examination, there are well-demarcated, depigmented macules symmetrically distributed around the perioral region. The remainder of her skin exam is unremarkable. She is concerned about the cosmetic appearance and wants advice on management.
