She also completed Pediatric residency at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA, is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine, and she is a certified MD by the Institute for Functional Medicine.

Denis Wilson

For more than 30 years, Denis Wilson, MD, has focused on restoring thyroid health, metabolism, and body temperature. He is the author of 4 books including Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome, Doctor’s Manual for Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome, and Evidence-Based Approach to Restoring Thyroid Health. He is the first doctor to use sustained-release T3 and he has been educating physicians for over 26 years on its use in the treatment of Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome, a condition in which people exhibit low thyroid and low body temperature symptoms but have normal thyroid blood test results. Since 2001, he has also been training doctors in the use of herbs and nutrients for supporting thyroid and adrenal health. Felice Gersh
MD

Felice Gersh, M.D. is a multi-award winning physician with dual board certifications in OB-GYN and Integrative Medicine. She is the founder and director of the Integrative Medical Group of Irvine, which provides comprehensive health care for women by combining the best evidence-based therapies from conventional, naturopathic, and holistic medicine.

She is passionate about all aspects of women’s healthcare, with particular expertise in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), cardiovascular health, hormonal health, and menopause. Because skin health is a reflection of holistic bodily health, she is deeply knowledgeable about the bidirectional relationship between skin health and the health of the female body. InYoung Kim, MD, PhD is a board-certified dermatologist. Improving the lives of patients with dermatologic conditions through a holistic and evidenced-based approach is where her passion meets purpose. With a PhD in Immunology focusing on the gastrointestinal immune system, she believes that the gut plays an important role in health and disease, including skin health. She is particularly interested in the role of diet (including oral supplements) and other holistic approaches to dermatologic conditions -- especially chronic inflammatory disorders. Kenneth R Pelletier

Kenneth R. Pelletier, PhD, MD – is a Clinical Professor of Medicine, Family and Community Medicine, and Psychiatry in the Departments of Medicine and in Psychiatry at the University of California School of Medicine, San Francisco (UCSF) where he is Director of the Corporate Health Improvement Program (CHIP). Dr. Pelletier is also Chairman of the American Health Association, is a Vice President with American Specialty Health (ASH), and is on the Board of Directors of the Rancho la Puerta Resort/Spa. Prior to these positions, Dr. Pelletier served as Clinical Professor, of Medicine, Family Medicine, and as Professor of Public Health at the University of Arizona School of Medicine. Also he served as Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine; was Director of the Stanford Corporate Health Program (SCHP); and was Director of the NIH funded Complementary and Alternative Medicine Program at Stanford (CAMPS). From 1974 until joining the Stanford University School of Medicine in 1990, Dr. Pelletier held a dual appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry, University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco (UCSF).

Mary Brittain Blankenship, MD is the founder of Spruce MD Integrative Medicine in Greenville, SC. She is board certified in internal medicine and has experience in both hospital medicine and cardiovascular inpatient medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama and completed a residency in internal medicine through the University of Utah. Through the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine she completed an integrative medicine fellowship in 2018. Her medical interests include integrative approaches to treating chronic disease, athletic performance optimization and eating disorders. Outside of her clinic, Mary Brittain enjoys long-distance running, road and mountain biking, yoga and traveling with her family. She is an avid cook, voracious reader and amateur pilot.

Markus Ploesser

Markus Ploesser, MD is Board Certified in General and Forensic Psychiatry through ABPN. Dr.Ploesser is also a diplomate of ABPS in Integrative Medicine. Dr. Ploesser completed his Psychiatry residency training at the Columbia University and his fellowship training in Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Washington. He is also a graduate of Columbia University School of Law in the LLM program. Dr. Ploesser completed additional fellowship training in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona.

Dr. Ploesser has a vast array of clinical interests. However, his areas of expertise include adult ADHD, holistic, and integrative medicine. He is also specializing in forensic psychiatry and evaluations.

Dr. Ploesser is interested in Integrative Medicine and prefers to minimize the need for prescription medications. He believes that what we eat can affect our mental health and that our lifestyle changes make a difference in mental health.

Robert Bonakdar

A member of the Division of Integrative Medicine, Dr. Bonakdar received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine and his undergraduate degree in psychobiology from Occidental College in Los Angeles. He received the Richter Fellowship for Independent International Research in the field of Southeast Asian heath practices and studied in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, and Indonesia. He completed a clinical and research fellowship in integrative medicine at Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine in La Jolla and a residency in family practice at the Sharp Grossmont Family Practice Residency Program in San Diego. Board certified by the American Board of Family Practice, Dr. Bonakdar is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the California Academy of Family Physicians, the American Holistic Medical Association, and the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture. He has conducted award-winning research and presented at numerous conferences in the area of herbal and natural medicines.

Sabrina Magno

Sabrina Magno is a certified nutritionist, lactation educator, First Line Therapist practitioner, and an activist for food diversity, sustainability, and the environment. She has also previously worked for a government-funded nutritional program designed to safeguard the health of low-income families. There she was able to share her passion for breastfeeding, advocated food as medicine, and made a positive impact on a disadvantaged population who had been targeted by unhealthy food marketing.

Sabrina completed her nutritional medicine certification at The American University of Complementary Medicine in 2005 where she studied under Diana Noland, MPH, RD, CCN, LD. DIFM, who was on the Faculty of the Institute for Functional Medicine. In 2007 Sabrina completed her Lactation Educator training at UCLA. Sabrina has additional training and certification in Blood Chemistry Analysis, Functional Endocrinology, Applying Advanced Nutritional Strategies for Autoimmune Diseases, Mastering Brain Chemistry, Understanding Gluten sensitivity, and Leaky Gut. These modules of training were sponsored by the University of Bridgeport and taught by Dr. Datis Kharrazian. DHSc, DC, MS, Ph.D. in 2007. Additionally, Sabrina completed certifications on Applying Personalized Lifestyle Medicine, Understanding the Origins, and Applying Advanced Nutritional Strategies for Autoimmune Diseases taught by Jeffrey Bland, Ph.D., in 2008.
