    Dr. Norton is associate dean of clinical education as well as an assistant professor at Bastyr University California in San Diego. She is a faculty supervisor at Bastyr University Clinic and also teaches several courses including aspects of cardiovascular medicine and dermatology. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of New Hampshire and her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine for the University of Bridgeport. Past experience includes private practice in the northeast as well as 10 years working in various roles for the College of Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport. Dr. Norton is certified in "First Line Therapy," a proven program that incorporates personal lifestyle medicine and supports changes such as healthy nutrition, nutritional protocols, exercise and stress management. She is currently working on her certification in functional medicine, through the Institute of Functional Medicine. Other more specific interests include endocrine disorders (including thyroid disease, diabetes), cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, mental health issues (including depression and anxiety), autoimmune disease, allergies, skin disorders, intestinal disorders and women’s health. Her philosophy revolves around the fact that health is a state of homeostasis, where all systems of the body function optimally and waste is eliminated efficiently. She works with her student clinicians and their patients to uncover the cause of imbalance, enhance elimination of toxins and facilitate restoration of health. Together with the patient they work together to formulate a plan that is realistic and attainable and includes lifestyle recommendations, nutritional supplements, herbs, hydrotherapy and other remedies such as homeopathy.

    Eric Baker, M.S.O.M., LAc., has been in practice since 2000. He is currently affiliated with Ingalls Memorial/University of Chicago Hospital. He also has extensive experience working with AIDS/HIV through his years of work at the CORE Center, a satellite of Cook County and Rush Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Hospitals, specializing in Infectious Disease. He has been teaching Oriental Medicine since 2003. He is currently faculty at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL and Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL. He also teaches various Continuing Classes focusing on his own work. He holds a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. His clinical interests and specialties include Classical Chinese Medical Thought (including acupuncture and herbalism), Chinese Pulse Diagnosis, Psychology and Chinese Medicine, and Modern applications of Taoist/Buddhist Medical Theories. The fundamental motivating force of his work is a deep love of Asian Culture, which he has been immersed in for over twenty years. Over that time, he has had the good fortune to study with multiple Zen Masters, Taoist Masters, and Tibetan Buddhist Lamas.

    Clive Liu, MD is the Director of the Psoriasis Treatment Center at Bellevue Dermatology and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Washington. He received his medical degrees from New York University. His post graduate training include a psoriasis fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco followed by his dermatology residency at the University of Utah.

    Allison Mahoney, L.Ac, MAOM Allison is an acupuncturist and herbalist licensed in the state of North Carolina. She holds a Masters Degree of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, NC. She is a nationally certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by NCCAOM. She is certified in Facial Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Acupuncture and is completing a Diploma in Chinese Medicine Dermatology. Allison has a practice in Asheville, NC where she specializes in dermatology, sports injury and pain, and women’s health.

    Jashin J. Wu, M.D., is Founder and Course Director of the San Diego Dermatology Symposium on September 11-13, 2020 and Founder and CEO of the Dermatology Research and Education Foundation. In his 15 years of clinical practice, he has treated over 1500 psoriasis patients, of which over 1000 received an oral agent, biologic, or phototherapy. He is a past Medical Board member of the National Psoriasis Foundation and a Councilor for the International Psoriasis Council. He serves on the American Academy of Dermatology/NPF psoriasis guidelines committee, which published updated 6 psoriasis guidelines in 2019-2020. He is co-editor for 6 textbooks about psoriasis. He is associate editor for the 4th edition of Comprehensive Dermatologic Drug Therapy published in March 2020. He has written over 350 Pubmed articles, of which over 250 are about psoriasis. He is Past President of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Dermatological Society, Board Member of the California Society of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery (CalDerm), and Board Member of the Pacific Dermatology Association. Dr. Wu has given over 140 psoriasis lectures at medical conferences and dermatology departments/divisions in 11 countries.

    Dr. George Han an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell where he leads efforts in clinical research and teledermatology. He is the current Vice President of the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, a member of the board of directors of the New York State Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, a member of the Medical Board of the National Psoriasis Foundation, and an Associate of the International Eczema Council.

    Dr. Canale is the founder of Lactation Lab, which provides innovative and proprietary breast milk tests for mothers. She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from McGill University. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at UCLA. After medical residency, she joined the teaching faculty at the UCLA Family Health Center, before joining the Santa Monica Parkside office. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages, especially families with young babies. Dr. Canale is a Member of the American Board of Family Medicine.

In addition to being a frequent medical media contributor to national outlets like CBS and SiriusXM Radio, Dr. Sowa is the founder of SoWell Health, a personalized weight-loss and wellness practice in NYC.

    Anupama (Anu) is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, licensed acupuncturist and certified yoga teacher. She graduated in Ayurvedic Medicine from Mangalore University in India, received a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) and her Ph.D. from Walden University. She is currently the Program Director and professor for Ayurvedic Medicine and provides clinical services for SCU Health System. In her clinical practice she integrates diet, yoga, lifestyle counseling, herbs and various body work therapies individualized to the patient’s condition. Her main interests are managing musculoskeletal condition, mental health, women’s health and preventative care.

    Dr. Jennifer Soung is a board certified dermatologist currently practicing at Southern California Dermatology in Santa Ana, CA and a Clinical Instructor at Harbor UCLA Dermatology. Dr. Soung has a strong interest in medical dermatology and clinical research. Dr. Soung is an expert in psoriasis treatment and has extensive experience using phototherapy, systemic medications and biologics in the treatment of psoriasis. From 2010-2015, she was an assistant professor at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine and the Director of Dermatology Clinical Research.

    Huma U. Sheikh, MD, is an assistant professor at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and was previously a clinical instructor of neurology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital-Harvard Medical School. She completed her neurology residency at Montefiore Medical Center, where she also completed a Stroke Fellowship before going on to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for a fellowship in Headache Medicine. She is the co-chair of the Migraine and Vascular Disease special interest section at the American Headache Society (AHS) and on the AHS committee to develop “Guidelines for Vascular Issues and Headache.” She is currently investigating the role of low dose oral contraceptives in stroke for women with migraine with a grant from the International Headache Society.
