2022 Integrative Dermatology Symposium Lectures

The Integrative Dermatology Symposium focuses on new and emerging therapies, innovations, and best practices across disciplines in dermatology to improve dermatological patient care from an interdisciplinary approach. Acupuncturists will elevate their understanding of various medical approaches, improve communication between providers, and promote patient safety across disciplines. 

Course Objectives:

After completing this activity, participants will be able to: 

1. Appraise the use of integrative approaches between medical disciplines for common pediatric and adult skin conditions
2. Assess the evidence for the influence of mindfulness and the mind-body connection on dermatological conditions
3. Review the evidence for the effects of emerging topicals and systemic pharmaceuticals on autoimmune and inflammatory skin diseases
4. Compare treatment approaches based on skin type and color
