The annual Integrative Dermatology Symposium is designed to appeal to practitioners across disciplines. It will address emerging trends, and practical approaches to dermatology as practitioners assess and manage skin conditions and care. It is estimated that nearly one-third of the population is afflicted with a skin disorder. There is a great need for best practice sharing and cross-collaboration to support practitioners in the field and improve patient care outcomes.
After completing this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe mechanisms of regenerative medicine, mitochondrial function, and cellular aging as they relate to skin health, inflammation, and chronic dermatologic disease.
- Apply precision medicine approaches, including biomarkers and predictive tools, to support diagnosis and treatment selection across immune-mediated and chronic skin conditions.
- Identify the impact of metabolic, endocrine, gastrointestinal, and behavioral health factors on dermatologic disease development and progression.
- Evaluate current and emerging therapies for conditions such as alopecia areata, vitiligo, atopic dermatitis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, hidradenitis suppurativa, prurigo nodularis, acne, and pigmentary disorders.
- Analyze the role of lifestyle, nutritional, behavioral, and complementary strategies in supporting dermatologic care.
- Apply patient-centered communication strategies that address psychodermatologic factors, including stress, sleep, and emotional health.
- Apply practical clinical approaches from case-based and interactive sessions into dermatology practice.
- Evaluate environmental contributors, including UV exposure, microbiome disruption, and toxic exposures, and incorporate appropriate prevention and management strategies.
- Design individualized, interdisciplinary care plans to improve clinical outcomes and patient quality of life.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
This virtual activity of 2026 Integrative Dermatology Symposium is approved for 11 credits of continuing medical education (CME) by Medical Education Resources, Inc.
