He currently represents founders, investors and other equity holders, as well as start-up and other closely held companies, in a wide range of strategic planning and legal analysis and implementation from formation, investment, financing, operation through, if applicable, ultimate sale.     Kenneth R. Pelletier, PhD, MD – is a Clinical Professor of Medicine, Family and Community Medicine, and Psychiatry in the Departments of Medicine and in Psychiatry at the University of California School of Medicine, San Francisco (UCSF) where he is Director of the Corporate Health Improvement Program (CHIP). Dr. Pelletier is also Chairman of the American Health Association, is a Vice President with American Specialty Health (ASH), and is on the Board of Directors of the Rancho la Puerta Resort/Spa. Prior to these positions, Dr. Pelletier served as Clinical Professor, of Medicine, Family Medicine, and as Professor of Public Health at the University of Arizona School of Medicine. Also he served as Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine; was Director of the Stanford Corporate Health Program (SCHP); and was Director of the NIH funded Complementary and Alternative Medicine Program at Stanford (CAMPS). From 1974 until joining the Stanford University School of Medicine in 1990, Dr. Pelletier held a dual appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry, University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco (UCSF).

    Matthew has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and natural product industries, where he has led preclinical, clinical, and overall product development teams for some of the world’s largest R&D-based healthcare companies. He has extensive experience in the design and conduct of both qualitative and quantitative human efficacy/safety studies and has strategically recruited and managed teams of world-class scientists, including a team with two Nobel laureates, for business and product development initiatives. Matthew has considerable experience with both US and Canadian government regulators and has been instrumental in the government approval of important medicines and botanical-based products that are marketed in both countries.

    Katerina Svigos is a dermatology research fellow in The Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology, and a 4th year medical student at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Her dermatology interests include hair loss and conditions of the scalp, as well as mixed connective tissue disease. She will be graduating medical school in May 2021 and pursing a residency in dermatology.

She is a published author of “Ayurveda, A Quick Reference Handbook’ and “Enchanting Beauty” (Ancient secrets to inner, outer and lasting beauty) She is a faculty member at various Institutes. Currently, she is the Director of Ayurvedic Healing Institute where she offers Ayurvedic and skincare consultations.

    Iris Rubin
    Dr. Iris Rubin is the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of SEEN skin-caring hair care. Dr. Rubin received her undergraduate degree with honors from Stanford University, and her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She did her dermatology residency at the University of Chicago and Harvard Medical School, and served as academic chief resident at Harvard. She completed a laser surgery fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Wellman Center for Photomedicine. Dr. Rubin has conducted research on development of a vein-selective laser to improve port-wine stain treatment, and has an issued patent based on her research. Dr. Rubin has been an invited speaker at meetings sponsored by the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), Washington D.C. Dermatological Society, and Children’s National Medical Center. Dr. Rubin’s previous positions include Medical Director of the Dermatologic and Vascular Laser Surgery Program at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C., Dermatologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and a faculty member at Harvard Medical School, and Director of Government Communications and Education for the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS).

    Felice Gersh, M.D. is a multi-award winning physician with dual board certifications in OB-GYN and Integrative Medicine. She is the founder and director of the Integrative Medical Group of Irvine, which provides comprehensive health care for women by combining the best evidence-based therapies from conventional, naturopathic, and holistic medicine. She is passionate about all aspects of women’s healthcare, with particular expertise in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), cardiovascular health, hormonal health, and menopause. Susan’s legal practice is focused in the areas of healthcare law, business transactions, consumer products, and regulatory and advertising law. Susan represents various alternative healthcare practitioners and providers, medical associations, and natural product manufacturers and distributers. Susan regularly serves in a leadership role on projects involving access to plant medicine. In addition to practicing law, Susan is an Ayurvedic Practitioner and an Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist.

Sarah is also a strong believer that patient education is a critical part of patient care and her goal is to provide quality care of her patients and provide them with the knowledge they need to make proactive decisions about their health.

    For more than 30 years, Denis Wilson, MD, has focused on restoring thyroid health, metabolism, and body temperature. He is the author of 4 books including Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome, Doctor’s Manual for Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome, and Evidence-Based Approach to Restoring Thyroid Health. He is the first doctor to use sustained-release T3 and he has been educating physicians for over 26 years on its use in the treatment of Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome, a condition in which people exhibit low thyroid and low body temperature symptoms but have normal thyroid blood test results. Since 2001, he has also been training doctors in the use of herbs and nutrients for supporting thyroid and adrenal health.     Kitty is a veteran risk manager/insurance advisor, working in transfer of risk for businesses since 1985, the last 20 of those years dedicated to “all things” Healthcare. Dr. Vasant Lad and the Ayurvedic Institute, a renowned U.S. School of Ayurveda located in Kitty’s home town of Albuquerque, New Mexico, became her client shortly after the new Millennium. The interesting blend of “traditional” western and age-old eastern medicine has been a significant part of her client book since, with institutes, ayurvedic resorts, national and state association representation (NAMA, CAAM, The Maharishi Institute…), authors, med spa & traditional medicine integrative care clinics, as well as numerous practitioners. He subsequently completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Barbieri’s research interests include acne vulgaris, patient reported outcome development, the use of technology in medicine, and delivering high-value care.

    Dr. Anna Yusim is an award-winning, Stanford- and Yale-educated, Board Certified Psychiatrist with a robust private practice in New York City. On the Clinical Faculty at Yale Medical School, Dr. Yusim is the best-selling author of Fulfilled: How the Science of Spirituality Can Help You Live a Happier, More Meaningful Life. Having helped over 1200 patients live happier, more meaningful lives, Dr. Yusim is presently starting a Spirituality and Mental Health Center at Yale. After working as a neurobiology researcher with Dr. Robert Sapolsky Ph.D. and completing her studies at Stanford, Yale Medical School, and the NYU Psychiatry Residency Training Program, Dr. Yusim felt that something was missing from her life.     Dr. Chapman first began his education into health and wellness by cultivating a strong curiosity into the factors that shape mood and behavior by studying neuropsychology and biochemistry as an undergraduate at Indiana University. It was also during this time that he began studying Tibetan Buddhism and integral philosophy which also shapes his approach to health and wellness.After spending a year in pharmaceutical drug research awaiting and preparing for medical school, he decided to alter his course and pursue a career in naturopathic medicine rather than conventional medicine. He attended Bastyr University and focused his training in nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, and biofeedback. It was during this time that he started to cultivate his own approach to medicine.Dr. Chapman opened his own private practice in Asheville, North Carolina where he focused on getting to the root causes of patient's chronic conditions. While this often involved natural therapies such as herbal medicine and nutrient therapy, he also began to focus more on overcoming the barriers to behavior & lifestyle change.The last 4 years, he has worked at Genova Diagnostics as Product Development Manager and Medical Education Specialist. Aside from educating and consulting with integrative and functional medicine practitioners, he is responsible for researching and developing new test panels such as Genova's Methylation Panel.     Dr. Melody Maarouf is a 2nd year dermatology resident at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelors of Arts in Public Health and from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a Master of Health Sciences in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.   She previously completed a research fellowship with LearnSkin’s senior contributor, Dr. Vivian Shi. She developed a passion for medical and integrative approaches to managing hidradenitis suppurativa patients.
