Dr. Jagdeo has engaged in skin research for over twenty years and loves helping educate patients and other physicians on how to combine treatment approaches in unique ways to achieve skin wellness.     As director of the clinics for multicultural dermatology and for hair disorders, Dr. Agbai provides specialized, comprehensive care for all skin types. She also understands the structural differences of skin of color requiring highly specialized dermatologic care. Dr. Agbai treats conditions such as acne-induced hyperpigmentation, hair thinning, melasma, and hidradenitis suppurativa, especially as these conditions relate to patients of color. Additionally, Dr. Agbai offers medical dermatology care and cosmetic procedures to patients of all skin types. Dr. Agbai has engaged in clinical research in pigmentary disorders, hidradenitis suppurativa, cicatricial alopecia, and skin of color dermatology. She is a co-author on multiple high-impact scientific publications and book chapters related to these topics. Additionally, Dr. Agbai has presented at national scientific meetings relating to her clinical and research interests. She also appears regularly as a contributor on the television program "Good Day Sacramento" on the topics of skin and hair.

    InYoung Kim, MD, PhD is a board-certified dermatologist. Improving the lives of patients with dermatologic conditions through a holistic and evidenced-based approach is where her passion meets purpose. With a PhD in Immunology focusing on the gastrointestinal immune system, she believes that the gut plays an important role in health and disease, including skin health. She is particularly interested in the role of diet (including oral supplements) and other holistic approaches to dermatologic conditions -- especially chronic inflammatory disorders. She completed the one and only formal training program available in integrative dermatology for board-certified dermatologists (Integrative Dermatology Certificate Program through Learnskin).

    Dr. Naissan Wesley is an Advanced Aesthetic and Surgical Dermatologist and the Director of Mohs micrographic surgery at Skin Care and Laser Physicians of Beverly Hills. Board-certified and fellowship-trained in cosmetic, surgical dermatology, and Mohs surgery, Dr. Wesley graduated magna cum laude with high honors in biology and art history from University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). As one of the top college graduates in the nation, she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Wesley completed her medical school and residency at University of California San Francisco (UCSF), where she also graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. At UCSF, she was recipient of the Chancellor Award for Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership (awarded to only one student annually among all graduate schools) and the National Medical Association’s Emerging Scholar Award.     Alex Tsoi
    Dr. Tsoi has strong interests in investigating the pathology and genetic architecture of complex cutaneous disorders using systems biology approaches, and his work focused on developing data integration approaches to enhance prioritization and interpretation of high throughput experimental results. He joined the Department of Dermatology, Department of Computational Medicine & Bioinformatics, and the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Michigan in 2015-2016 as a faculty. Working with Drs. James T. Elder and Johann E Gudjonsson, Dr. Tsoi’s research aims to develop analysis pipelines and computational approaches to provide biological inferences from genetics and genomics data. His work in genetic association studies revealed over 30 novel psoriasis susceptibility regions, and highlighted different disease pathways. He also led the analysis and developed computational pipeline to study psoriasis transcriptomes, and his work uncovered over 1,000 novel transcripts in skin.

    Linda Rank has been a practicing Physician Assistant specializing in Dermatology since 2001. Although she claims specializing in Dermatology came out of necessity and accident of chances, she now acknowledges that it was destined and has become her calling. Being in Dermatology when the introduction of the aesthetic explosion starting with Botox and following other added products, positioned Linda to be one of the early experts of the aesthetic industry. After a decade of recognizing that so many of her patients were craving basic knowledge of aesthetics treatments, she wrote a book “Take Charge of your Beauty.” Her book educates readers on the basics of Botox, Fillers, and skincare to help create confidence in choosing their treatments. A lover of personal development, Linda asks her patients to redefine what beauty looks like. A true believer that our outside beauty truly is reflected from one’s mindset and self-talk, she approaches her treatments in a more personal matter. She is not opposed to denying an aesthetic treatment to someone who is not emotionally or mentally suited for it. Linda truly believes that her needle is not a cure for the heart and is meant to support a person with confidence. Linda and her husband own a medical practice in Orange County, California and enjoy outdoor activities with their two sons.

    Dr. Jennifer Fu cares for adults and children with difficult-to-treat alopecia when first treatments have been ineffective. She also cares for patients with medication-induced hair loss, including cancer survivors. She directs the UCSF Hair Disorders Clinic and works closely with patient advocacy groups, such as the National Alopecia Areata Foundation and Cicatricial Alopecia Research Foundation.In research, Fu and her colleagues examine defects in immune regulation in order to better understand hair loss caused by autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, with the goal of discovering new treatments. She also studies the wellness benefits of mind-body approaches and community-based support as a way of providing health care.Fu earned her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. At UCSF, she completed a residency in dermatology and a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery (a specialized technique for treating complex skin cancers) and procedural dermatology.Fu is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women's Dermatologic Society, American College of Mohs Surgery, Council for Nail Disorders, Alameda – Contra Costa Medical Association, Solano County Medical Society and California Medical Association.

    Dr. Mercedes E. Gonzalez is a board-certified pediatric dermatologist. After graduating from Emory University, she earned her degree at Rutgers–New Jersey Medical School in 2004. Always drawn to working with children, she accepted the prestigious pediatrics program at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York–Columbia University where she solidified her interest in treating skin disorders. She then completed a dermatology residency followed by a clinical fellowship in pediatric dermatology at the top-ranked New York University (NYU) Department of Dermatology.Her gentle, child-friendly bedside manner, combined with her broad knowledge of childhood skin diseases and their treatments, make her the preferred pediatric dermatologist in Miami. In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Gonzalez currently serves as a clinical assistant professor at The FIU Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine and The Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology at Miller School of Medicine.Dr. Gonzalez serves as the principal investigator on numerous clinical trials and has a special interest in severe skin diseases in children. She lectures regularly at dermatology conferences and to medical students and residents and is the co-editor of 3 dermatology textbooks, including the recently published 2nd edition of Goodheart’s Same Site Differential Diagnosis, and has published over 50 journal articles.

    Featured on TLC’s ‘Bad Hair Day, Dr. Meena Singh is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. She attended Harvard Medical School, trained at the Mayo Clinic, and completed a procedural fellowship with the International Society for Hair Restoration Surgery, under Dr. Marc Avram. As part of her surgical fellowship training in New York City, she also became trained and board-certified in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, as well as cosmetic dermatology procedures, such as Botox, lasers, and fillers.Dr. Singh is the medical director of the Derm and Hair Center. She maintains special expertise in hair transplantation, medical therapy for all forms of hair loss and treating ethnic skin. She has lectured at numerous international surgical conferences.Dr. Singh recently starred in the TLC network show, ‘Bad Hair Day’ where she performed hair restoration procedures for patients with severely distressing scalp disorders. She has been featured on the cover of the New York Times and has numerous publications in many peer-reviewed dermatology journals, book chapters, and has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine. She is a reviewer for the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology and the Dermatologic Surgery journal.She co-authored, “Hair Transplantation, Aesthetic Series” complete hair transplant textbook. She also has had numerous TV/media appearances. Dr. Singh has served on several boards including the Kansas City Dermatologic Society, Greater Kansas City chapter of the National Medical Association (NMA) and the NMA Dermatology section. Dr. Singh has performed clinical trials in laser hair stimulation, as well as studies in hair transplantation for scarring and non-scarring forms of hair loss. She has also performed investigative studies on skin cancer in transplant recipients, as well as tissue engineering.

    Dr. Goh practices general medical dermatology with a specialty in hair loss and scalp disorders. She did undergraduate studies at Stanford University, medical school at Weill Medical College of Cornell University with honors in both research and community service. She completed her residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell in New York City. Her research and clinical interests are in all types of hair loss including alopecia areata and scarring alopecia. She has been active with patient advocacy groups and local support groups for patients with hair loss.She has published numerous articles, book chapters, and is sought after for speaking engagements. She has been featured in many media outlets including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, and NPR. She is active in the dermatology community, serving on committees for the American Academy of Dermatology, American Hair Research Society, Women's Dermatologic Society, and Skin of Color Society.

    Adam Friedman, MD, FAAD is a Professor and Chair of Dermatology in the Department of Dermatology, as well as Director of Translational Research and Dermatology, Director of the Residency Program, and the Director of the Supportive Oncodermatology Program at George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC.He has published over 220 articles and book chapters and is the editor of 3 textbooks. He is also on the Editorial Board for Dermatology News, Practical Dermatology and Cutis, and is Senior Editor of Dermatology in Review.Dr. Friedman is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and serves as Chair of the Annual Meeting Poster Task Force, and sits on the Curriculum Task Force. He is also President of the Derma Care Access Network.

    Cristina Curp, a Miami native and daughter of Cuban immigrants, has transformed her personal battle with Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) into a powerful mission of education and advocacy. Diagnosed with stage III HS as a teen, Cristina endured years of painful lesions and limited medical support—especially as a military spouse navigating the Tricare system.Drawing on her background as a chef, Cristina turned to nutrition as a means of healing, ultimately bringing her HS into remission through targeted dietary and lifestyle changes. For over a decade, she has shared her experience and expertise to help others living with HS and metabolic syndrome discover the power of food in managing inflammation and supporting overall health.Today, as Chief Operating Officer of HS Connect, Cristina channels her passion into building global awareness, community support, and advocacy for those affected by HS. Back home in Miami, she continues to inspire others with her message that no one living with HS should feel invisible or alone.Fun fact: Cristina is a proud boy mom, dog mom, and one of three sisters.     Dr. Joanna Rosen is a licensed clinical psychologist and trauma expert based in Newtown, CT, who specializes in trauma prevention, early response, and recovery. She holds a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Rosen also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Yale and is the founder of BETWEEN2EARS® — Advanced Trauma Consultancy.

    Dr. Mehdi Rashighi is a physician-scientist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Chan Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. He earned his MD from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. In 2011, Dr. Rashighi joined Dr. John Harris’s vitiligo research laboratory at UMass Chan Medical School, where he utilized basic and translational research approaches to uncover a critical immune pathway involved in the pathogenesis of vitiligo. This discovery led to the successful off-label use of JAK inhibitors for vitiligo and subsequently informed the design and implementation of clinical trials for these therapies.Dr. Rashighi established the Connective Tissue Disease Clinic and Research Center following his dermatology residency at UMass. Through this initiative, he advances translational and clinical research to deepen understanding of autoimmune processes in inflammatory skin diseases, emphasizing developing innovative, targeted treatments.

    Christopher Bunick, MD PhD is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Yale School of Medicine in the Department of Dermatology. He specializes in general medical dermatology and dermatologic surgery. He also performs unique dermatologic research studying the three-dimensional structures of skin-related proteins using x-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy. He completed medical internship, dermatology residency, and a dermatology research fellowship (mentored by Nobel Laureate Dr. Thomas A. Steitz) at Yale School of Medicine. Chris’ research has pioneered a new focus in dermatology on fundamental biochemistry and structural biology, particularly connecting the atomic resolution mechanisms of action of a therapeutic to its clinical performance and safety.

    Dr. Erik Domingues, a board-certified Dermatologist, grew up in New Bedford, MA, graduating from New Bedford High School. He then graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth with a degree in Chemistry. He completed medical school at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School and an Internal Medicine Internship at St. Vincent Hospital – Worcester Medical Center. He completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School in Worcester. He is also the founder and CEO of Modern Dermatology of Massachusetts in Fall River, MA. Dr. Domingues is an Assistant Professor in Dermatology at the Department of Dermatology at the UMass Chan Medical School, helping train the next generation of Dermatologists.  He volunteers extensively in the Southcoast community, including serving as chairman of the Southcoast Community Foundation Scholarship Committee.  He has also previously served on the Southcoast Community Foundation’s board of directors. Since 2009, he has volunteered for the American Academy of Dermatology’s Camp Discovery in Pennsylvania, a camp for children with various skin disorders. He is currently one of the activities co-directors for the Camp that runs every August.His previous research includes working on an educational intervention developed to enhance the ability and willingness of medical students to examine the skin for melanoma.He specializes in surgical, cosmetic, and medical Dermatology with a special interest in complex medical dermatology including psoriasis, alopecia areata, eczema, hidradenitis suppurativa and vitiligo. He lectures regionally and nationally on these topics and enjoys seeing difficult to treat cases referred by other practices.

    Erin Barrett (Wei), MD is a board-certified dermatologist and NIH-funded clinical investigator with expertise in autoimmune bullous diseases and clinical trial leadership. She earned her undergraduate degree from MIT and her medical degree with honors from Harvard Medical School, where she was a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellow.She completed her dermatology residency and served as chief resident at the University of Miami. Dr. Barrett previously held faculty roles at Brigham and Women’s Hospital-Harvard Medical School, where she led the Bullous Disease Clinic and received multiple awards for research and patient care.Currently at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, she serves as Director of Clinical Trials, Director of Inpatient Dermatology Services, and co-Director of both the Bullous Disease and Skin of Color Clinics. She is also pursuing an Executive MBA at the University of Nebraska Omaha.
